I am working toward my own sense of what well-being means to me, and while I am doing that I continue to pursue my goals of having a profitable business. I have had a difficult year and things are starting to turn around. I realize that I am not the only one experiencing change at this time. I have a plan to make great improvements to my service to the world. I have already added Reiki Master Teacher and Therapeutic Art Life Coach to my repertoire. I am developing how I want to work with people in an expanded way and helping them live a balanced, happy life. I have always done transformational healing work and have wanted to continue in an expanded way with this work. I am currently developing classes that I could offer along these lines that will help people overcome obstacles in their consciousness that are blocking their happiness or success in life.
I have been bouncing around what direction I really want to take with my artwork. I have too many interests and I know it would help to have a more focused agenda. I am a creative soul and must continue to explore this avenue of self-expression if I am to be happy, but I have never been completely satisfied with just doing art. I have a need to serve the community as well. While art can serve a purpose, be it by inspiring, healing, or engaging people, I still want to work with people.
So, here I am. I have some my jewelry and art on this blog site. I offer custom art services (not just pet portraits). I offer readings via Skype. I also offer distance Reiki healing sessions. You can email me at email@example.com to set up an appointment.
So, I have a new website http://artoftheage.com . I have leggings, yoga leggings, capris, tanks and more. I am will be adding more things to it continually. I am planning on art prints and new jewelry. I am so excited to finally have a website again. I have been without one for three years now. Time to move forward again with my life goals, which are numerous. I have so many new ideas for artwork. I wish there were more days in the week or perhaps I need a clone.
One day at a time, I am told, one day at a time. Breathe and keep walking the path. That’s the joy of life.
And so it is now a week since my Cassie passed away. She was almost 20 years young. Not bad. She was spunky and full of life up until the last couple of weeks. Her purr could be heard on the next block. She was one of those sweet, white and fluffy types. Her self-appointed positions included secretary extraordinare, wardrobe consultant and reliable alarm clock. She always performed these tasks well and with gusto.
So here is the picture I used to do her pet portrait:
And here is the portrait I did from it:

I still have her brother Thor. I hope he sticks around for a bit. Took this recently:
He’s a real sweetheart.
I am the fortunate one.

Out of the chaos, I cling to hope and a brighter future. Presently I project to invest my time and energy in producing new artwork and living my life from a clear center of defined purpose. This last year has been a bleeping rollercoaster. I used to like rollercoasters, but not the emotional/financial kind that I have been on since my mother died.
I am an artist. I enjoy doing portraits, pets or people. I like working with old photos. I plan on doing more nostalgic art. I enjoy working in different media. I am available for commissioned artwork. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have a sincere interest in having a custom artwork done for you.

Your order makes a difference. 10% of your pet portrait order will be donated to Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League. They are the kindest, most compassionate people that I have ever met in the pet industry. They made the passing of my beloved cat Athena, she was 17 1/2, a beautiful, caring experience. I will not forget their incredible genuine caring for me and my cat.
Email me at email@example.com with your interest in having a portrait done.
This is an old picture but I like it. When I first brought the new scratching post home, Cassie immediately claimed the top perch as her territory. Athena, not in this picture took up residence at the base. Too funny. Cassie is now 18 1/2 years old. Still playful and going strong, along with her brother Thor.
This is her pet portrait.

I love animals, so I started doing pet portraits. I have a couple more examples on my site. I would greatly appreciate it if you would honestly consider having one done and contacting me. I am trying to build this up so I can do it as a primary source of income. I haven’t been doing it long but you could help me build my portfolio. I have very reasonable rates and I guarantee my work.
Capture the memory to enjoy for years to come. Please visit my pet portrait page to order your pet portrait. I accept major credit cards.
